Patriot act pros and cons

Patriot act pros and cons – This monster was originally shortly after the attacks to 11 September 2001. The unification and strengthening America by providing appropriate tools to intercept and obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 generally the “Patriot Act”is named.

Patriot act pros and cons Patriot act pros and consThis act of Congress expressly amended 11 existing laws of Congress (Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Money Laundering Control Act, Bank Secrecy Act, the right act for financial account; Fair Credit Reporting Act, Immigration and Nationality Act, Victims of Crime Act of 1984, Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act) and by default part of the Bill of Rights.

The Patriot Act has been rightly criticized for his “approval of indefinite detentions of immigrants, the law enforcement authorities search by looking for a home or business without the consent of the owner or the resident permission or knowledge, the expanded use of National Security Letters, which allowed the FBI phone, e-mail and financial records without a court order finding and expanding the access of law enforcement authorities business records, including library and financial records.

If the USA PATRIOT Act is a serious threat to the Bill of Rights and the freedoms of U.S. citizens? Or is it simply a well-regulated set of tools that allow federal agents to track down terrorists in a fast paced world of cyber-communication? These were the positions of opposing sides at a forum last Thursday at the Traverse Area District Library carved on “How the USA PATRIOT Act impact you?” . The 347-page Act was rushed into law at the insistence of the U.S. Department of Justice, only 45 days after the 9 / 11 catastrophe and an overwhelming majority of legislators who have little or no chance of reading his convoluted language and obscure references approved. Since then she has perceived as a serious threat of civil rights and librarians around the country.

This is one of the reasons as a BLACK INDEPENDENT MODERATE VOTER, that I will NOT be voting for Barack Obama. The entire PATRIOT ACT should be repealed effective immediately. I’m voting for Ron Paul. I already switched my voter registration to Republican to cast my vote for Ron Paul. We also should have had the Public Option in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1998 should have been repealed effective immediately as well. Congressman Dingal (D-MI- in 1998 said that this Act would lead to more Tax Payer Bailouts. It led to two.

Mr. Watkins with all do respect the PATRIOT ACT was put in place 7 years before Obama took office. So my question to you is how is that his fault. We have had far worst Presidents but none have had to go through the thing the he is going through in office. Everything that he has tried to do to help lower and middle class people is being shot down and faught. These are the same people that would like to see you with chains on and picking cotton. Do more research before you are quick to judge my brother.

This comment is for the jackass who stated she is not voting for Obama. You are an ignorant colored person who rides off the media and make decisions probably after eating chicken and watermelon. Most would say that this is stereotyping, meaning affiliating watermelon and chicken with a particular race. This is exactly how I feel about your comment and the reason I said this ignorant shit. This is exactly how you sound. Superfreaking ignorant.

Definitely imagine that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the internet the easiest thing to be mindful of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while folks consider worries that they just don’t recognize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also outlined out the whole thing with no need side-effects , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
